Contemporary, architect designed vacation apartment rental in Paris. Salon has ancient wooden beams and double glazed velux windows that open to reveal rooftop views of Paris. The ceiling slopes so tall guests will need to be aware of this. The orientation is east and west so there is plenty of sunlight. One side of the apartment is on a covered courtyard and the other a quiet side street.
The sitting room has a double sofabed, dining table for six as well as a bar with three bar stools. The open plan kitchen has everything you need to prepare simple meals as well as an electric stovetop, refrigerator , combination oven/microwave and dishwasher.
The main bedroom with queen size bed has a mobile air conditioning unit and a small wardrobe with hanging space. Ensuite bathroom has large storage space for suitcases and a heated towel rail. The second bedroom, between the main bedroom and sitting room, doubles up as a TV room and has a high quality double sofa bed and small desk for a mobile computer. The second bathroom has an electric WC and shower . There is a cupboard just next to the bathroom with a washing machine and separate dryer.
Public areas are original as the building used to be a hotel. There is a mosaic floor and coloured glass roof in the entrance hall that needs to be painted. The small elevator goes up to the 5th floor. There is a walk up one floor to the 6th.
Fantastic central location only 100 metres from the Louvre Museum, Palais Royal and Place des Victoires and a short walk through the lesser known Cour Carré in the Louvre, onto the Pont des Arts footbridge over the River Seine directly to St Germain and Odeon. Nearest farmers market rue Montmartre, behind St Eustache church.
